Hired bikes for the day and covered 25+ km riding the length and breadth of the island. There might be a good reason to put lighthouses at the top of hills but it makes life difficult for tourists on bikes 😜
Of course Rottnest is famous for the adorable quokka population that call the island home. They are unbelievably cute, but I guess I’m showing my age when I say I couldn’t get the gopher from Caddyshack out of my head!
PS The peacock was unimpressed with the quokkas getting all the attention!
PPS I didn’t feed the quokka- but he definitely was giving me puppy dog eyes to get my cookie 🥺
